Health Information Management


Major

Students must maintain a 2.25 GPA and earn grades of C or higher in each course required by the major to continue in the HIM On-Campus Sequence. All courses listed here are three (3) semester hours each, unless otherwise noted. Note: This curriculum applies only to students following catalogs prior to 2016/2017.

Pre-requisites

  • ECO 103: Individual & Social Choice
  • ECO 105: Principles of Economics
  • KNR 181: Human Anatomy & Physiology
  • KNR 182: Human Anatomy & Physiology II
  • HSC 105: Medical Terminology

Both semesters of Human Anatomy & Physiology should be completed in the same academic department. Medical Terminology and both semesters of Anatomy & Physiology may be used as admission criteria for internal transfer students.
