Our mission is to create extraordinary learning opportunities supported by ongoing scholarship and meaningful service. Programs include Environmental Health, Health Education, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Science, and Safety.  Majors have the opportunity to pursue professional positions in a variety of fields: health promotion and disease prevention, public and environmental health, dissemination of health information, test reporting, safety and health, and more.

Illinois State's Environmental Health program is one of only 23 accredited programs in the nation and the only program in Illinois.

More than 90 percent of graduates find jobs within six months of graduation.

Safety students that are involved in the Illinois State's American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) conducted research in uptown bars on the effects of noise on employees.  Their research won first place at AIHA Chicago Section Student Night.
