Scholarships List

  • Ann E. Nolte Scholarship

    The Ann E. Nolte Scholarship was established by Dr. Nolte's family and colleagues. Dr. Nolte was a Distinguished Professor Emerita and leader in Health Education. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior level student majoring in Health Promotion and Education.

  • Beverly J. Barham Scholarship in Medical Laboratory Science

    Dr. Barham is a professor in Medical Laboratory Science that has been teaching at Illinois State University since 2000, achieving the rank of full professor in 2012. This scholarship was established by her husband, Jim to honor Dr. Barham's focus on helping students reach their maximum potential. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior in Medical Laboratory Science with a 2.5 minimum GPA, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.

  • Charles T. Spencer Scholarship

    The Charles T. Spencer Scholarship was established in 1994 by Ellen Spencer in memory of her husband. The scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Medical Laboratory Science, Health Sciences, or Chemistry.

  • Health Information Management Scholarship

    The HIM Scholarship was established in 2022 by Ms. Jane Turley to recognize dedicated students in HIM. It is awarded annually to a junior or senior in Health Informatics and Management. The award supports students with financial needs and who demonstrate the potential to be HIM leaders.

  • Heinz Russelmann Environmental Health Scholarship

    Heinz Russelmann was a Health Sciences faculty member from 1976 to 1995. This scholarship was established to honor his commitment to excellence and to the environmental health profession. It recognizes students majoring in Environmental Health who are leaders and active in program, professional, or community activities.

  • Jennifer Wood Clinical Laboratory Science Scholarship

    Jennifer Wood, '97, funded this award to honor an upcoming senior who has shown leadership, outstanding commitment, and extraordinary potential in and outside the classroom.

  • Jeanne Martens Scholarship

    This endowment was established in memory of Jeanne Martens, a 1977 graduate of Illinois State University. The scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who has attained junior status, majoring in Clinical Laboratory Science.

  • Kris and George Byrns Environmental Health Discovery Scholarship

    Dr. George Byrns is a retired professor. The Byrns' established this scholarship to assist students majoring in Environmental Health. The scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman or transfer student who has discovered a passion for environmental health and switched their major.

  • Maurine Corsaut Clinical Laboratory Science Scholarship

    Maurine Corsaut taught at Illinois State from 1970-1990. This scholarship was established by friends and family when she retired. The scholarship is awarded to a full-time student at the junior or senior level, majoring in Clinical Laboratory Science.

  • Omron Safety Scholarship

    This scholarship is made possible by Omron Foundation Inc. (OFI). An international corporation focused on the pursuit of safety science. Among their initiatives at ISU are the Omron Applied Safety and Ergonomics Laboratory. This scholarship is for Occupational Safety and Health majors who have completed at least 36 hours at ISU, with at least 6 hours in OSH and a 3.0 major GPA.
